Suryachaur Day Hike

Trip Overview

Suryachaur is a newly explored short trekking destination located in the periphery of Kathmandu valley. This hiking program allows the trekker to have both flavours of the city and the countryside culture, tradition and along with the living style of the local inhabitants. During the hike, you will be walking through the dense jungle and the trail including some gradual ascends and descends.

For mountain lovers, Suryachaur is regarded as a paradise as one can see the breathtaking unparalleled panoramas of Annapurna, Ganesh, Langtang, Gaurishanker and their wide ranges along with the beautiful surrounding views including tiny local villages and the traditional terraced farming. From different parts of the trails, the beautiful bird's eye view of dense Kathmandu valley also can be seen. In recent days, this destination is considered as a hotcake hiking destination for the tourists from both domestic and foreign countries.

Itenerary

Day 01:Kathmandu - Kakani – Suryachaur – Gurju Bhanjyang – Kathmandu hiking: Driving duration: 2 Hrs. Walking Duration: 4 to 5 Hrs.

After having breakfast in your hotel, you will be picked up and transferred to the hiking starting place; Kakani where your hike begins. You will drive to Kakani through (Kathmandu-Trishuli highway) where you will be able to see the city lifestyle, village lifestyle, religious places, terraced farming and people engaging in agricultural activities in a traditional way. Once you reach Kakani, you will commence walking through the Kakani Village at the beginning which then leads to some open hills and then through the dense forest. The walking includes some steep ascends and small descends at some places. From most of the en route places and from the hiking destination; Surya Chaur, you will be able to see the breathtaking views of the mountains like Annapurna, Ganesh, Langtang, Gaurishanker and their wide ranges. Besides that, you will also see the panoramic views of the surrounding areas which include some Tamang villages below the hill and their terraced farming. Once you reach Suryachaur, you will feel like you have reached to heaven. Enjoy some time on the periphery of Suryachaur and enjoy the surrounding natural views. You will have your lunch at Surya chaur and after lunch, you will continue walking to reach Gurju Bhanjyang. The returning part of the trail is also through the jungle and is almost descend. Once you reach Gurju Bhanjyang, you will be transferred to Kathmandu and dropped off at your booked hotel and the program ends here.

Kathmandu to Kakani and Gurju Bhanjyang to Kathmandu transfer on the private vehicle.
Required permits for the hiking.

What is Excluded?

Any bar bills (alcoholic drinks, mineral water, and cold drinks), cigarettes, client’s personal insurance, any kind of unforeseen expenses etc.
