In this trip, numerous numbers of hiking routes are involved which are famous for viewing the breathtaking scenes of different Himalayan ranges. Kathmandu is also known as the "city of temples", hence this trek not only allows you to enjoy the natural scenic but also give you an opportunity to understand the culture, tradition, art and history of the valley.
The trek includes the sightseeing of Monuments that are listed in world heritage site, hike around Shivapuri National Park, Chisapani-Nagarkot-Dhulikhel trek, and hike around Balthali village. Chisapani Trek is one of the finest and shortest hikes to the north of Kathmandu valley. The stunning views of snowcapped mountains and charming Nepali villages with green terraces make the Kathmandu rim trek popular. As we pass through 112-sq-km Shivapuri National Park and large Tamang settlement of Mulkharka, we can view the Kathmandu valley on a clear sunny day.
Mountain Delights Trek and Expeditions P. Ltd. offers a 6 day hike across the Chisapani and Shivapuri National Parks. There are numerous hiking trails in Shivapuri National Park. The Chisapani hike is one of the best that we have to offer. Throughout the year, this hiking trail can be used. Sundarijal-Chisapani-Nagarkot will be our hiking routes for this trip. Similarly, the views of Himalayas, sunrise, and sunset can be viewed from this hiking trail.
Our friendly English speaking representative will meet and greet you in Kathmandu International Airport, and then you will be transferred to your pre-booked hotel. Once all the formalities reae completed, you can rest and relax at the hotel. In the evening, we will take you to short Thamel tour to make you familiar to some restaurants, money exchangers, supermarket, gear shop and other necessary things that you might need during your trip. After exploring the market, you will be taken to our office for trip briefing meeting. Overnight in hotel. If your arrival is late today, this tour and trip briefing will be postponed for the next day.
After having a delicious breakfast, we will drive for about an hour to reach Kakani and then trek to Gurju Bhanjyang (2,430 m). This trip provides extensive information on the life, history, culture, and religion of the people living there. Panoramic views of Mt. Manaslu, Mt. Ganesh Himal Range, Mt. Langtang Range, Mt. Dorjeelakpa, Mt. Shisapangma, Mt. Gaurishankar and may more western mountains can be viewed from the top of Gurju Bhanjyang. After lunch, we will hike for 30 minutes to reach Nagi Gumba to spend the night. Overnight stay in local lodge.
After having breakfast at Monastery, we will continue our trek towards Sundarijal through driving. It will take about an hour to reach Sundarijal and from there we will start our hike. The trail gradually ascends through pine and oak forest, and this Shivapuri National Park is a fantastic site for bird watching, as well as seeing some other wild animals. The park is home for more than 300 species of birds as well as rarely sighted bears, leopards and different species of deer. A panoramic view of the Himalaya and the valley will be seen from Chisapani. Overnight local lodge.
It is a popular destination for sunrise and views of Himalayas. The Himalayan range, which stretches It takes 7 hours to reach Nagarkot from Chisapani. After having a delicious breakfast, we will start our hike through Chauki Bhangyang, and continue the charming trails that lead us to Nagarkot. Nagarkot is located at the summit of the hill. It ifrom Dhaulagiri in the west to Kanchenjunga in the east, emerges from the darkness on a clear day to greet the fortunate visitor with its awe-inspiring majesty and splendor. After breakfast, we will begin our long day walk to Dhulikhel. You will be able to appreciate the natural beauty as you walk through the countryside of Nepal's rural communities. After you reach Dhulikhel, you'll see a plethora of ethnic differences, traditional traditions, lush foliages and abundant bird life. Dhulikhel is a small town where ethnic Newar community resides, who have a lengthy history. The Newar people's artistic ability and urban attitude have created a charming and a beautiful area. The streets of Dhulikhel are lined with bare-brick buildings, carved wooden windows, slanting roofs, pagodas, and religious statues. The Narayan and Harisiddhi temples, which are covered in intricate wood carvings, are the most important places of devotion here. A tranquil and scenic place is the Gokhureswar Mahadev temple, which is a 30-minute walk east of town. The Bhagawati temple which dominates the skyline of Dhulikhel is located at a high altitude in the western section of the city. A nice view of the town and nearby surroundings can be seen from here. Namobuddha is the Buddhist retreat and a pilgrimage site having a long and illustrious history. Hiking to Namobuddha Hill Station provides spectacular views of the Jugal Mountain range including Dorje Lakpa. The adventurous hike to Namobuddha is both refreshing and enjoyable. Walk across the fertile rice and orange terraces in order to reach Namobuddha. You will be blown waya by the magnificence of the Namobuddha monastery when you step on its ground. If you take your gaze away from it and look around, you will be rewarded with equally beautiful views, ranging from basins to mountain peaks. Overnight stay in a local lodge.
