Trip Overview

Annapurna Luxury Trek is a specially designed package for those who want comfortable accommodation and easy walking at a decent altitude but can still enjoy the scenic beauty of the Annapurna region in style and in a luxurious way by staying at hotels and lodges along the way. It is no doubt the most famous and classic trek in Nepal that provides an opportunity for visitors to explore traditional villages, densely forested trails, mighty mountains, and mind-blowing vistas. During this trek, one will experience a combination of upscale accommodations that provide comfort and excellent and authentic services. These luxury accommodations ensure a restful and rejuvenating experience after a day of trekking and exploration.

This trip includes exploration of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu Valley, sightseeing in Pokhara, and a trek to Annapurna Region.

Itenerary

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our friendly representative who will transfer you to the hotel. Upon completing check-in formalities at the hotel and short rest, we will go to our office for a trip brief meeting and you will be exploring the market of Thamel – the buzzing tourist hub where you can eat your supper, change money, buy stuff for trekking if you need any. Overnight stay at 4-5 Star Hotel, Kathmandu.
After enjoying your breakfast, you will start the exploration of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Kathmandu which is the Holy Temple of Pashupatinath And The Country’s largest stupa Bouddha Stupa. Pashupathinath: Dedicated to the Hindu God Shiva, Pashupati is one of the most famous Hindu temples in south-Asia. The Bagmati River flowing behind the temple is religiously and spiritually important for Hindus where the cremation of the dead body takes place. This temple holds the most prominence during Shivaratri – Lord Shiva’s birthday in which thousands of pilgrims gather to celebrate the auspicious day. Boudhanath Stupa: It is considered to be the largest stupa in the country in terms of size and height in Nepal dedicated to Buddhism. The site is peaceful and culturally full of the intermixed influence of The Tibetan and Sherpas. The Stupa built on the trading route between Kathmandu and Tibet, has ogur pairs of eyes directed towards all four directions. The stupa and philosophy around is influenced by Mahayana Buddhist philosophy. You can also visit some monasteries and local shops. After the tour, we return to the hotel and prepared ourselves for the beginning of our exciting trek. Overnight Stay at 4-5 Star Hotel.
After breakfast, we catch an early morning flight to the tourist city of Pokhara from Kathmandu. After 30min of a breathtaking scene from the flight (sitting on the right side of the plane will be a bonus for you to enjoy the panoramic view of the Himalayan range.), we will be heading to the village of Dhampus after one hour of blacktop road drive to Phedi with another 30-40 min uphill off-road and an easy walk of about 30 min to Dhampus village. Moreover, On the way you will be driving through the dense rhododendron forest on a stone staircase and continue through the typical villages and terraces of rice fields. Dhampus is quite a serene and beautiful Gurung village, an ideal choice for peace lovers and those tired of crowded city life. The village offers an awesome view of Machhapuchhre (6998m), Hiuchuli (6441m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Annapurna III (7575m), Annapurna IV (7535m), Annapurna II (7937m). Gurung natives inhabit this village. On special occasions, one can get entertained with local cultural dances, songs, and a warm welcome with the unique musical instrument Panche Baja. This is a great chance to get close to the Gurung culture. Overnight stay at a Mountain luxurious lodge. Dhampus is quite a serene and beautiful Gurung village, an ideal choice for peace lovers and those tired of crowded city life. Witness spectacular sights of the amazing Annapurna range, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri, Himchuli, and Lamjung. Gurung natives inhabit this village. On special occasions, one can get entertained with local cultural dances, songs, and a warm welcome with the unique musical instrument Panche Baja. A great chance to get close to the Gurung culture. Today we wake up early morning for enjoying the Himalayan range over sunrise then we take breakfast and start our trek through a densely forested trail filled with rhododendron and oak trees until we reach Pothana from where we can see the amazing view of Machhapuchhre. We continue to trek through the village of Patlekhet followed by the path of sub-tropical forests full of orchids, rhododendrons, and magnolias. Upon reaching the village of Majgaon, we can see the tribal-style houses and manicured gardens. Overnight stay at Mountain Luxury Lodge.
Leaving the village of Majgaon, we trek through the side of the hill with gradual ups and downs, passing through some villagers and farmlands, before reaching the Gurung village of Landruk. Landruk is the smaller sister of Ghandruk. It is nevertheless a large Gurung village with decent accommodation with its simple slate roofed ochre and white houses representing a typical Gurung village. Overnight stay at Mountain Luxury Lodge.
After enjoying your breakfast at a high altitude for the last time in Landruk.Then you will begin, the trail with a steep descent towards the Modi Khola (river) for about an hour, followed by a steep ascent of 2-3 hours through scattered villages to Ghandruk, with great views of the Himalayan route. You'll then reach the village of Ghandruk, one of the largest Gurung settlements in western Nepal. Once here, you will have time to enjoy the landscapes, Gurung old village, Gurung Museum, and snow-capped peaks like Gangapurna, Machhapuchhre, and Annapurna over sunset. Overnight at Mountian Luxury Lodge.
Leaving behind the Gurung settlement, we head towards Rimche and drive to Syauli Bazaar. Following the trails of the Modi River, we pass terraced fields and forests enjoying surrounding views in the background, and continue the drive to Pokhara. After rest you will enjoy lunch and early evening we will enjoy boating at Phewa Lake and walking around the lakeside. Overnight stay at 4-5 Star Hotel
In the morning we drive to World Peace Stupa (Shanti Stupa Shrine) was built as a symbol of peace, situated at the height of 1100m on the Anadu Hill. Nichidatsu Fujii laid the foundation stone along with relics of the Buddha on 12 September 1973. From the stupa, we can have a fascinating view of Fewa Lake, the mountain range, and Pokhara Valley. We then visit Pumdikot where the newly built Shiva Statue waiting for us for blessings. On the way back we will be visiting Davi’s Fall and Gupteshwor Cave. Devi’s Fall is a tunnel approximately 500 feet (150 m) long and runs 100 feet (30 m) below ground level. It got its name after the sad incident that occurred on 31 July 1961. A Swiss couple went swimming but the woman drowned in a pit because of the overflow. Her body was recovered three days later in river Phusre with great effort. Her father wished to name it "David's Falls" after her daughter's name but changed it to Devi's Fall. The Nepali term for it is Patale Chango, derived from the literal translation of Paatal Ko Chango, meaning "Underworld's waterfall. "Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is located close to Davi’s Falls on the other side of the World Peace Stupa, considered to be the most famous and longest cave in Nepal (2950m). According to historical records, the cave is believed to have been found during the 16th century. The primary cave consists of two chambers adorned with numerous sacred sites.Then we return back to the lakeside for Lunch and we visit International Mountain Museum. International Mountain Museum is the best museum where you can learn about the vast mountain ranges in Nepal, ethnic groups, and their life style. You can also learn about international mountains, amazing wonders, and famous mountaineers' lifestyles. (history, evolution, development and the legendary achievements in mountaineering.)It has a stunning collection of artifacts, original mountain gear, stories, and photographs of the mountains, their inhabitants, and the explorers who climbed some of the highest peaks in the world. Overall the museum is a storehouse of information and facts. After a great experience, we return back to a 4- 5 star Hotel overnight.
Today we will have a relaxing morning. After late breakfast, we fly to Kathmandu and transfer for overnight at a 4-5 Star Hotel.
Kathmandu City comes with a century-long history of markets, trading spots, various arts, and buildings with architectural and cultural affluence. On your last day, you will be exploring the local market of Asan, Indrachowk, and Newroad, only to discover the historic and cultural identity of this beautiful city. Next, you will arrive at Kathmandu Durbar Square, which serves as the focal point for showcasing the architectural grandeur of Kathmandu. Here, you will experience the unique culture of a “living goddess” also known as “Kumari” Visiting her temple could make your trip informative and exhilarating given the cultural differences. After this eventful day, you will spend your night at the hotel and prepare for your departure the next day.
On departure, day, We will drop you at the airport and bid our adieu. You then will be taken to the airport's scheduled flight.

What is Excluded?

    • Any bar bills (alcoholic drinks, mineral water, and cold drinks), cigarettes, client’s personal insurance, and any kind of unforeseen expenses.
    • Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu.
    • Tips for guide, porter, and driver (Tips are not compulsory but expected). 

Equipment Checklist

This list outlines the required things to bring during the trekking hours. There are various selections and brands from which you can make your own choice. That equipment can also be bought and hired easily at a reasonable price in Kathmandu. 

General

  • Down sleeping bag (you can borrow it from us if required).
  • Duffel or Rucksack bag (you can borrow with us if required).

  • Water bottle with purification tablets.

  • Toiletry kit. Be sure to include toilet paper stored in a plastic bag, hand wipes, liquid hand sanitizer, towels, soap, etc.

Medicines and First Aid Kits

(Our guide will carry the first aid kit bag during the trek.  We still recommend that you bring your first aid kit as you feel it necessary).

  • Headache and fever medicine.
  • Ibuprofen for general aches and pains.
  • Burnt cream.
  • Imodium or Pepto Bismol capsules for upset stomachs and diarrhea.
  • Diamox (commonly prescribed as Acetazolamide). Please discuss this with us before starting to take this medicine.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Blister treatments such as mole skin, hand plats Band-Aids, some waterproof tape, anti-infection ointments, etc. 

Miscellaneous

  • Passport and extra passport photos (2 copies).
  • A durable wallet or purse for travel documents, money, and a passport.
  • Pocket knife.
  • Bandanas.
  • Favorite snack foods and energy bars
  • Paperback books, cards, and MP3 players. Avoid playing with moving hardware, as it may not function. Remember, keep these items lightweight 
  • Binoculars.
  • Camera.

All garments should be kept dry using waterproof stuff sacks or large puncture-resistant plastic bags.

Note: The itinerary we have made is based on our experience with trek arrangements. During the trip, you have options to take a drive or a flight, according to the availability at the beginning or conclusion. According to your interests, the itinerary can be customized. We also operate the trek without sightseeing or hotel arrangements.
